Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Skema3D (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the AI fashion design platform at www.skema3d.com and associated applications. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information provided through our authentication provider (Clerk). We do not store your password directly — authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.

Uploaded content

Images you upload (sketches, reference photos, fabric swatches, garment images) are stored to provide the service. This includes any files you attach during the design process.

Design data

Text prompts, design specifications, tech pack content, AI-generated images, and all garment data created through the platform are stored in your account.

Usage data

We collect standard usage data including pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, IP address, and timestamps. This data helps us improve the platform and diagnose issues.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the Skema3D platform
  • Process your design prompts and generate AI output
  • Store your designs, tech packs, and project history
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Send transactional emails (account updates, feature announcements)
  • Improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your uploaded designs or generated content to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in to such a program.

3. Third-Party Services

Skema3D relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each service processes data according to its own privacy policy:

Clerk — Authentication

Handles user sign-up, login, and session management. Receives your email, name, and authentication credentials.

Supabase — Database

Stores your account data, design projects, tech pack content, and application data in a cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database.

Amazon Web Services (S3) — File Storage

Stores uploaded images, AI-generated images, and exported files (tech pack PDFs, photoshoot images).

AI Model Providers — Content Generation

Your text prompts and uploaded reference images are sent to AI model providers to generate designs, flat sketches, and other content. These providers process data according to their API terms and do not use your data for model training.

Vercel — Hosting and Analytics

Hosts the marketing website and collects anonymous usage analytics.

Google Analytics

Collects anonymous website usage data to help us understand traffic patterns and improve the site.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and design content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and design content within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

Usage logs and analytics data are retained in anonymized form and are not linked back to individual accounts after deletion.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export — Request an export of your design data in a portable format
  • Opt out — Opt out of marketing communications at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@skema3d.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

Skema3D uses cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies — Required for authentication and core platform functionality
  • Analytics cookies — Used by Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand usage patterns (anonymous)

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect analytics accuracy.
